Design is strategy

Angela Adams, founder of AKA Interiors

Meet Angela

Two decades between design and real estate

I'm Angela Adams, founder of AKA Interiors. I grew up around blueprints and open houses — my parents were real estate brokers and home builders — and by the time I was studying interior design in college, I was already the lead designer for a custom home builder.

Over the next eighteen years I co-owned a brokerage with my mother, held real estate licenses in three states, and specialized in investment real estate, working with investors, banks, and hedge funds on renovations and new construction. I also served as a Tennessee State sworn property valuation expert witness.

That background is why we approach design the way an owner does. I know what a finish costs, what it returns, and what it does to a schedule — and I know the difference between a space that photographs well and one that performs.

In 2021, my husband's cancer diagnosis changed everything. After his passing in 2024, I chose to devote myself fully to the work I've always loved most. Every project is a gift, and I bring two decades of hard-won expertise to each one.

Today, I focus exclusively on interior design and procurement through AKA Interiors. While my real estate background continues to shape how I approach every project, my passion—and my full-time career—is creating thoughtful, high-performing spaces for my clients.

01

Experience

Twenty-plus years across corporate restaurant chains, world-renowned wedding venues, custom home building, and investment portfolios. That range is the point. A restaurant, a model home, and a multifamily community all need design that performs — they simply measure performance differently.

02

Accountability

Nearly all of our work comes from referrals — builders, brokers, and operators who hand us the next project. We earn it by sweating the details, protecting the budget, and delivering on the construction schedule.

Testimonials

Hear it from our clients

I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for your hard work, dedication, and eye for details. You've truly been one of the few bright spots on this project. Your patience and reliability — two qualities I value greatly — have not gone unnoticed. Thank you for consistently delivering and being someone I can count on. I'm excited to see it all come together! Looking forward to continuing our work together.
